Rubber is for cars, solids for boats/performance. Rubber mounts is like an out of balance washing machine, everythings moving around. Stuff moving around = wear and tear on a boat.

rubbers are for protection. if your going to go all the way, go with a solid mount.

I don't have the slightest clue how rubber mounts are going to reduce the power the engine generates internally, but just keep it simple and bolt the engine down solid.

Seeing as how you are new to the boards, I doubt you are familiar with the resident dickhead around here. Some know him a HJ and he hasn't been around for some time now.... I have to warn you... you are quickly taking his title and doing it well I might add.
I once said to HJ in a thread that he should read more and type less... *Ahem*

WOW you sound like the dickhead right there. But who are you refering to any way, the OP? and who is HJ? Your not refering to Jetaholic are you? Thats the only cat i saw ruffle some feathers up in here... but i have not been around lately either. If there is some good drama; link a brother to it so he can catch up.

I dont think he was refering rubber robbing you of HP but needing solid with high HP applications vs rubber with lower HP applications. Or at least thats how i read it.

but why would you want/risk any flex what so ever with how these things hook up to a jet drive would be beyond my understanding. Maybe less wear on the hull?

I realize I sound like a dick... in reality I probably am.

I have been seeing this guys random, uniformed, and otherwise irritating posts in many other threads and just thought I would share my feelings.

I think I will retract my comparison to HawiianJet, as he was at least somewhat entertaining.

My 79 Challenger had 3pt mounts. The rear mount was a hoop that bolted through the jacuzzi suction housing and to the the rear of the motor. The front mounts were very similar to what would be found in a vehicle. 3 bolts each, at the lower sides of the block, the straight to the rails. They were two peice with a rubber damper joined by a 1" bolt that also served as a level adjustment. There wasn't much play, but I suppose it did something. Or... in a 1/4 stringer boat its no wonder the subfloor kept popping up.
