Default What Boat do I have?

I bought this a week ago. It's a Sleekcraft, just a tad over 20'! I assumed a V-Bottom SST, but, as many others agree, it's got a very different deck on it. Definately a 1975, by the HID I checked, but the boat was borrowed by my uncle right after I got it so I don't have the entire HID handy.Texted him, we'll see in a few. but one strange machine, to be sure.

Original Gel, interior, engine and pump rebuilt recently. Pretty much how it came in 1975 less the wear and tear.

The 20' er I'm familiar with is called an aristocrate(sp). There is one local here to me. In the pictures and vid section,in the 86 and older thread look at post 104 by tbi. His is a tunnel but I'm pretty sure that hull came in a v. Yes that deck isn't even close. What happend to the moo mobile? I assume your going off the hin??? Maybe the made more than one 20footer ??? I dunno

They list 2 20' boats. The SST and the Aristocrat. Both were tunnel hulls with a special order option for V-Bottom. SST's were more for drag boats, as I understand it, and the Aristocrat had a full engine cover, totally different seating, and front windsheild with side windows.

My boat resembles neither, other than Obviously a Sleekcraft, and 20'. But noone seems to have seen what an SST V-bottom looked like. It may have come with a different top? The whole boat looks VERY similar to my 78 Sleek Rebel (The Moo), but longer, and Green. (The Iguana maybe? lol)

Yes, the Moo is still around and running fine. She just got back from our weekend trip to Laughlin at the Avi. Ran like a champ. Some idling issues persist, but nothing we can't work around. Only likes half to full throttle anyway, which happens to be where I like it too, so we get slong just fine!

Amazing how everyone knows that boat, lol.

Not sure what model it may be, but it looks a whole lot like my buddy Nick's Sleekcraft.... I can hit him up, see if he knows what particular model it is.

These are only a couple pics I could round up on short notice, but sure looks like the same kind of boat. Nick's is Ford powered with a Panther pump...

We're getting closer! That looks identical to me except that looks like the 18' Moo. Motor box, floor boards. Mine is a full stringer.

Even if you win, the steering wheel stays Tom. I'm armed,

It is strange you don't see those more tho huh? Skip, Brad and the SoCal boyz started calling me SleekRay, lol.

From the texts and calls I got all weekend, it is indeed a good score. I guess it ran flawlessly all weekend and Unc had a blast in it, asked me if I ordered the Place Diverter for it yet,

The HID is SLES****M76F, according to my aunt, but the 6 is probably a 5 as I read it. Either way, 1975 or 1976 "SLE"eekcraft "S" ST? or something else. Best info I got so far, unless Halcyon tosses the name of the mystery 20' in his brochure.

Dunno on the two ignition switches. The one on the left is not, nor has ever been, hooked up, according to the PO (1 owner boat, but this was the son, father was the original purchaser). Its been suggested that it was to turn the electric pump on and off

Yeah I know, Delemorte, the deck is nearly identical to my 18' Rebel (Moo), yours is different than it even, as is the seating, more like the 19' Kuaui on yours.

Looks like I better keep a close eye on the steering wheel! Might end up missing

Surely someone out there has or has pictures of a V-Bottom SST to sort this bugger out, lol.

Haven't been able to talk to Nick yet about his boat, but pretty sure its not an SST. The SST and the Aristocrats looked similar to each other, but neither one looks like yours or Nicks Sleekcraft. The SSTs that I have seen all have I guess what you'd call a raised deck like these, not flat like yours. My buddy's has that same steering wheel as yours as well, by the way

Thanks dude! The top is an SST as I know it, and the bottom is the Aristocrat as I know it, without the side windows. Again though, BOTH of those are tunnels.

Edit: LOL never seen it take so much, or so dedicated (very appreciated), effort to ID a boat before! Thanks Guys! Truly inspires me. On the down side, makes me realize just how rare this boat may be and my thoughts of huffing it and adding an old school Crower MFI are dwindling with this revelation!

I have seen pics of the v bottom version before, it may have been somewhere on here? It was a "project" pic, it was red, sittin in a driveway, without a pump in it. I run across it, I'll send it your way... I know where you're coming from ID'ing the boat though, having something a little different kinda adds to the fun, I went through it when I first got my boat.
