    Default Wilkes Marine?

I just bought a 1975 19' tahiti that was converted to an open bow by Wilkes Marine in i think i was told 1986. The boat was delivered yesterday and here in Texas we have to do a pencile tracing or take a picture of the hin# I can not find one on the boat?? Anyone know where they would move it to? I tried to call Wilkes but i may have a bad number?
    TIA

From what I understand by 1975 the HIN should be on the rear of the boat near the top right. I'm no expert but that should not have been affected by a conversion to an open bow. Seems that a lot of them get painted over.

Jim (Wilkes ) is on the boards here , and if theres no obvious HIN but you have a valid number you may have to do a simple "statement of facts" to dmv (sworn afidavit) Tom

    Default Hin

Has the boat been painted or repaired in the right rear standing at the back of the boat?

From what i was told it was painted when the conversion was done and has the same paint job on it now. They did add swim platforms at that time also but the bracket is only about 2" wide and i can see nothing on either side of it

look for a metal tag affixed to a stringer or something, I had a repaired boat and that is where they put it, dont know if that is normal but thats where it was
