Default How much fuel do most of you carry?

I am guessing more is better, but what is the average amount. Project I am working on needs new tanks. We have a pair of saddle tanks that do not fit very well or we could install a cell.

Just taking a stab at it, I'd say the average lake boat would be carrying around 22-24 gallons? I say that because while looking around for saddle tanks for a friend of mine they always seem to be 11 or 12 gallons each.

Mine has a bow tank, think it carries a little more, maybe 26 filled to the top.

Size of the boat would come into play too I would imagine.

11 gallons on each side, along the gunnels...pushed all the way back the transom (within 4 inches of the actual transom)
