Default Paging Warp Speed...please pick up the white courtesy phone:

    Hey Jay,

Was that "your" engine I just saw do a killer burnout at Phoenix ? Does Jimmie set that thing on the limiter when he does that ?

    Congrats on the team Victory.....

Just heard them say: Next week Jimmie needs 25th or better and he'll be the first man to ever take 4 in a row. That is just an incredible feat.

    I'll be watching next week.

    No, not mine!!!

I was in the 14 car this weekend.

Jimmie does a pretty good job of keeping things under control (and off the rev chip as much as possible) during his celebrations, he's had plenty of practice! That being said he has blown up a couple in his time, the last being Dover! Made about two donuts and thought he ran out of gas.....wrong!! LOL

Of course, the sentimental favorite for the Championship is Martin, but 4 in a row has never been done in the history of Nascar (and may never have the chance again) so that is the goal. One team has never finished 1-2-3 in the history either so that would be icing on the cake. No matter what happens the championship is coming back to Hendrick this year and that will be four in a row for the company.
It was brought up in this mornings meeting that after the '07 season we felt like we had the best season ever (17 points race wins out of 36 races) and would never be able to duplicate it again. With the addition of the new Stewart/Haas Racing we have won 18 out of the 35 points races this year along with the All-Star race.
Been an amazing year, but ALLOT of hard work and hours!!! In the month of October allot of us worked 7 days a week the whole month due to a valve spring problem in Kansas. In one week (actually 6 days) we burned through 1350 gallons of race fuel on our AVL dyno simulation testing spring batches!

But, it all comes down to this weekend in Homestead to see which car will bring home the title. I am in the 48 car for that race so..........no pressure!!!!!!
I just pray, as we do all year, that we don't let them down. After that....what happens...happens!

Thanks for the props guy's, and let's keep our fingers crossed we got another couple million cycles left in us!

I'll get over it if Jimmie wins the Championship. I haven't seen him in years the year before he started racing ASA short track for the Herzogs but he grew up here in El Cajon. I knew him and his family when he was a little kid we have several mutual friends.

    Default Ford Boy's!

They anounced today that the 6 car will have the new FR9 Ford engine in it at Homestead. It will be the first race for it in open form.
That'll give you something to be excited about Jon!!!

How 'bout the placement of the timing belt!?!
