    Default FYI- Impeller Test- New Design

    I noted I would keep those on board on our new design Impeller & its testing.

    #1 we produced the Impeller in 2 different size Ports.

    We only got limited testing done at the world finals.

    The Impeller shows a problem in initial (hook up) load. In no case did we test it with a pre-loader:
    The Impeller upon load, hits far harder as soon as you get a roll over load set going, Yet is delayed vs our current. My thinking is perhaps it vacates at a quicker rate causing a delayed head pressure to develop, after that, the Impellers pull far exceeds our current design.

    In both cases the Impeller shows the ability to pull longer and harder then our current and has all indications of an increased output flow.

    A revised design will again be tested this spring as another change is being made to the tooling at this time....

    Questions were being asked as to what's up with the testing. I think what we have learned throughout the testing, is we are on the right road.
    Both Impeller sizes (exit Ports) have shown the same effects. Both have different vane wraps and release thrust points vs current mdl.

    Hey Dave, interesting, I know you dont like 'em but you should try it with one of the new pre-loaders just to see what it would do.

    I have been out of boat Racing 30+ years, I have a question, especially for the Hotter Classes in Jets, what RPM do you guys run thru the lights ?, do they have a Blown Alcohol Jet ?, Blown Gas Jet ?.....I am curious What RPM you guys are spining these engines.
