Most boats that need stringers and a transome are usually free!

I think you need better pics to show to get accurate opinions.

Mantra splashed a lot of hulls. I have a 77 sleekcraft splashed Mantra that despite the Mantra HIN is still registered as a sleekcraft.

X2- plus no pump. Are the motor mounts there, four point or three point? exhaust system? pto? flywheel? full stringer? any bulkheads to be redone? condition of the bottom of the hull? have the stringers lifted or just rotted?

Maybe you could pick this one up for the price of a trailer, sell the parts and the trailer and maybe make a little coin to work towards a better boat.

My personal opinion, With so many boats out there that just need a motor for under 3K, and turnkeys available for under 6K, why screw with chainsaw bait? go grab a loan for 3k for 16 months and make payments. Its how I got mine.

Unless you have your heart set on this exact boat, move on if it really needs stringers.
Boating is nothing like cocaine, boating is much more addictive and results in bigger parties!

    That boat looks familiar....

That aside, if its needing the transom & stringers replaced, I'd think you're gonna have some serious coin in it before it ever makes it back to the water unless you are doing the work yourself or something...

May be a good buy for the trailer though.

I'd have to agree with the others. If it were a more desireable hull (tunnel, gullwing, mod VP, or maybe a Rogers or Hallett semi-v etc.) I might consider going to all the trouble of doing stringers and a transom. Personally I wouldn't spend the time or money on this particular hull. I don't even think I'd do it if it were a freebie.

    It's just an opinion.
