Default 84 Eliminator Daytona back into the mix

I didn't see a new members or welcome forum, so here goes....

A little background: Our family has been running dragboats for 20 years (Our Dad, Steve Beal and on to sons Shannon & Casey). We ran Risky Business, Liberator jet (Eliminator splash) in Comp Jet in the 80's, Foolproof 095 Earl Smith TX Tunnel in the 90s in the 11's 10s,9.50s and 9s. Then it was a two boat team with the Kurtis 501 Split Decision Promod and the Sudden impulse Pro Eliminator Placecraft jet(Lumberts & Updegrafs TFJ) until 2004. We then ventured to the pavement and campaigned a Top Alcohol Dragster then to Top Alcohol Funner car until 07. Children have come along since then and we have now ventured back into boats where we began.

To date: We purchased "Shockwave" BGJ '84 Eliminator Daytona from back in the day. Our nephew/cousin has been running it off & on the past 10 years. Duane at HTP & Tom Papp reworked the boat several years back. We live in KC and drove to Ardmore, OK to pick the boat up this past weekend. After pulling through a snow storm and sleet, we made it home. Here is picture of it in the snow outside the shop and polished up.

Our goal is to run it as is for this year in the ME class and then step it up with a blower motor that we're building. We look forward to seeing you out there.

Hey Loren, good to hear from you. As you know, we did that before... I believe points still go to the boat. I plan on hitting them all, but dad and Casey are itching to get into the seat as well once in while......not real sure just yet. The big concern today is looking for an RV to pack in all the family.

Hey, Welcome back to the Jet Boating World. That brings back some good old memories. Let's make some new ones. A lot of things about jet pumps have improved since then. Glad to have you back!!! Duane HTP

Thanks. Dad will be looking you up soon. We hit Table Rock several times a year. He tells me that you moved the shop there. AWESOME. We'll have to swing by.

Do it. We are right on Hwy 39 just as you come into Shell Knob. Stop in and we'll have lunch or something. My only regrets about moving the business here are that I didn't do it 10 years sooner! I live on the water and have the shop 1 1/2 miles form the water where we test boats. GREAT PLACE!
