    Default Cimmaron SJ

Hello everyone..... New to PB here.

During the fall I stumbled upon and purchased an '82 Cimmaron Inc SJ jet boat. It's a 16 footer, with a GM 350, and a Berkeley 12JE. The boat was in solid original condition, and had been been in a barn for a while. The engine was in original build form and tired, so I rebuilt to spec with a nice marine grind cam. After break in and tune on the lake, my wife and I enjoyed one trip out in it, and totally loved it. It ran flawless, with a smooth ride, and handled great. We can't wait till spring to get it back out on the water.

We would sure like to know more about Cimmaron Jets, as we've been asked plenty about our boat, and have little to reply. All we know is that Cimmaron Inc of Tennessee <Richard Rowe / Indmar?> came and went, and that our boat looks exactly like a few GMC Cobrajets we have found pics of on the net. I have a few pics, and will post soon.

    Anyone know more? Thanks

Thumbs up Pics of my Cimmaron SJ

    Thanks for the welcome Beerguy......

I checked out the PB site and quickly joined as it seems full or great people and a very active place. As promised, here are a few pics of my Cimmaron SJ as taken the day we drug it home from the barn. Yes... it's pretty rough looking here, but was just home from the barn it had been in for quite a while. Have sqaured away all mecahnicals, and now working off season on getting it looking good for spring. PB is GREAT for all the loads of information I have already found on the site.

Boating is nothing like cocaine, boating is much more addictive and results in bigger parties!
