Default Some ? on a Legend pump

Hello, you guys are gonna laugh at me because I am new to pumps. These questions are prob. basic to most of you. I have had lots of prop driven boats, but the jet is still new to me. I am thinking about putting a droop on the pump. I just have a few questions.
    1) will it help my speed much?
    2) is it hard?
    3) where do I get one for a Legend?
I live in Mo. so supply is a bit limited here to say the least.

Also, I have another problem. I noticed when I winterized the boat what appeared to be a shim was starting to back out around the pin that holds the steering fin on the jet. Any ideas what that is? Wish I could send pics. Its -2 today so I think I'll stay inside. Thanks for any input

http://www.hi-techperformance.com/ is right there in MO and the owner is here on Performance Boat with the user name DuaneHTP.
    To answer your questons-
    1. a droop might help your speed but it will definitely lower the thrust line.
    2. nope, it's not too hard to install a droop at all
    3. Hi-Tech Performance should be able to help you out with a droop for the Legend.
