    Hey everyone glad I found this place been hangin in the back for a while looks like you guys have all the fun lol , ready to dich my wahler outboard and get a Jet been looking at C/L and here on the classifieds wanna get anuther boat before spring but not sure what yet I think around 18 ft I seen alot for sale so what motor and outdrive is best Gene
    oh ya can I run its in the bay?

    some people say yes some people say no. imo its fine just flush the engine and exhaust after you run her or your gonna have ssome bad corosion problems

    This. If you run in salt water you just need to be prepaired for the clean up afterwards. Since i dont run near the ocean its not a concern. However if i was i would do it.. any boating is better than no boating.

    genensandee Welcome to the PB jet boards , maybe try to Keep the Whaler for the salt if you could (not the best for Jets IMO) and hunt down a Squirt boat for the River and lakes Tom

    ya the Mission bay can get a really ruff but usually its like a lake, might have found a boat today to get started on Ill try to get some

    i wouldn't say never run in salt water just flush the crap out of it. and if you running in it often may be look into a closed cooling systems and finding ways to get (zinc?) strips on it to stop corrosion. i think its zinc any way. but for the recored mine never has seen salt, some of my buddies run the islands up here and around the bays i just go with them.
