Man you'll probably have to call Ervan on that one. He has most of the history of this stuff in his head.

I thought one was a 16' (the original one with the flat nose)

and the later was the 17' (the one that had the different bottom and the center point to the nose)

Some people play hard to get... I play hard to want.

I believe I'd call Earl Smith.....

I'd bet Earl has more history about what was built than Ervin does...

or call Jimmy Johnson at Southwest Tool in Big Spring, Texas.....

Earl comes to the races several times a year with Jimmy and Jimmy's been thrown out of more Earl Smith's than anybody I know and he's only got 6 of them in the shop right now.

The pickle fork boat is a 16' and the shovel nose I think is 18'. Not either one of which I would want to own or drive. I only like to get in the water when Im ready, not to be decided by the boat.

and here are a couple pics of one I found for sale.

obviously different decks on them, so there must have been different molds and probably some different people laying them up. I wonder how the bottoms differ from one another.

Looks like the sponson tips on the bottom's are two different boats, I would think that the two pics above are completely different boats, the beaks are different too.
Would love to get my hands on Williamst's light blue one!

Hass I spoke with the guy that owns the boat in your pics.

He claims some length was added to that one. I would imagine it could be purchased pretty cheap. It's been for sale a long time.
