Default needs opinions on these headers for tx-19

do you guys think these will clear my transom? i like the look and thought they'd be cheaper than a coated set of upswept hookers, rewarders or bassetts. buy em and have them sent directly to a coater. they'd last forever, stainless headers, coated brand new.

there's about a 1 1/2ft between the gunnels and the closest tube when i put my twisties on, the shorties i've got on it now are alittle further from them.

do yall think they'll get that close to the gel?

If you have that much room you should be ok.
Those should only take up about 6"-8" more than the twisties max.
I had 1/2" between my gunnels and my twisties (had to run standard style) and only have to change one tube on each side a little to run Borla's. Those look a little wider than Borla's but with your added width you should have plenty of room.

Since we're on this subject...don't mean to step in to your topic here, I was looking into the Hedman Hustler upsweep headers. I'm in need of new headers myself. I was wondering will that clear the transom/gunnell??

I have a 18' caribbean/Tahiti/Southwind. All basically same molds. Thanks.

I have a set of upswepts on my jet, they look nice, different than all that is out there. I think they work better too. I bought Hedmans as those are the only set I could find.

But I can tell you they get the whole boat hot, rear seat, gunnels, stringers and floor,
hardened the carpet too. My boat has gunnels and a transom that is much higher than yours, so you should get pretty good airflow.

I run them open and dry though, I don't know if you plan on mufflers or water. Those pipes don't look like they have enough "drop" to run wet either. My primary tubes on 1-2 don't have much drop at all, which is why I run them dry.

I am going to put those on my flat and have a custom set made for the jet for water injection.

My boat is similar to your hull design. I found the transom to be up pretty high. I had to move the motor forward to clear the transom on my barge.

Did I read that right, Stainless headers? If that is the case, why coat them at all?

thanx for the info, i also run dry headers, i could care less about chrome headers. i found some fresh coated upswept hookers here close, the guy is calling me tonite about them. maybe they work out, regardless i can get my money back outta them for what he's asking.
