    Question Q? about engine displacement??

    I have a Chevy 427T that is bored 0.060" over. What is the new displacement? Is it 438 cid? Thank you.

    sounds good to me but i think some round it up to 440need to ask these questions in the dyno section.might get more help,travis

    (bore)^2 x (stroke) x (# cyls) x .7854 = cid

    (4.250+.060)^2 x (3.76) x (8) x .7854 = 438.8 = 439 cid

    Hey, first boat. Don't want to get killed by puttin' a BIG engine in it, it's going to get run on a narrow river with high cliff walls. And it was cheap. Eventually want to step up to a fuel injected 502 or 454.
