So i decided to toss out the points mallory ignition system and upgrade to a msd pro billet and 6al box. I picked it all up for someone for $200 only has a few hrs on it.
What i found out when i got it home is the distributer has been locked out. No advance weights or springs.
Im assuming i can set my timing at 32* and be good.. But from experiance to much advance when starting can lead to cranking issues.
pros and cons to locked out timing??
