    Default Pit Pump

    Saw this very cool pit running set-up at San Diego last year Question is what type water pump is at the heart of it ? clearly it can withstand moderately warm h20 Any help is appreciated (nice boat too BTW) Tom

    we have the same setup on the alcohol dual jet
    it runs a standard bilge pump and yes it will stand up to the heat
    we have been running ours for about 10 years or so now

    All the Jet racers run that type of deal....Just a bilge pump with alligator clips hooked to the battery and a 5 gallon bucket.

    we used a flo-jet brand pump that is used on the master craft ski boats and i suppose others for the wash down hose. same set up as shown just different pump.

    I use the same method to winterize the motor for winter lay up. It will empty a 5 gallon pail of anti freeze in under a minute.

    Saw that boat at the drags.What is the plate/sheild bolted to the droop for??

    that's Roger Sales boat "el bandito" the plate is because during launch the nozzle drags because of the droop and water gets splashed on his motor and he hates phoenix water and sandiego water getting on all the anodizing and coating on the boat you should see his tpr stealth you could eat of it

    Good call Chuck I just wanted to build a "fixture like this as a shop tool and was skeptical re the Bilge pump withstanding 180 or so temp , got the tunnel hull bruried in the back of the shop and cant get a hose to it !
