    Default -Would You Change Motors?-

Let me start by saying I'm blessed with the friends and family I have. Thank you.

So, I've been offered the opportunity to use the motor that Mike D. won UBFJ with 2 weeks ago.
It's 400+ more Hp and weighs 175lbs less than our currently set-up 19' CP.

Would changing motors be worth the effort just to make a few river passes? My gut (and a few friends) tell me it's only going to get me hurt, but it would be a blast to see how much "quicker" it gets with less weight. Yes, I confess, I'm addicted to this $hit and may have impared judgement.

Just not sure if the effort would equal the fun. Would you do it?

    Thanks!

If I got beat by a boat with no nitros in the lagoon I would make the change. More HP is a good thing. Good luck with the swap

It's like walking into a bar and asking if you should quit drinkin!!! Puh-leez My buddy Tony friggen Scarlotta offered us a bitchen blown alcohol engine for a race. Ended up being 2 races and then I couldn't live without one... Don't even ask what it cost 'cause I don't even know... Just so you know where you're heading!!! After that big a HP boost, your old motor will seem like kissing your sister....

Seriously though, it's friends like these that make this sport so great (and expensive!!).

Its a bad idea in a 19 cp but Id do it anyways.

Maybe an impeller change, less nozzle angle and back the 5000 shot down to about 250 and let her rip. Watch your MPH too, the 19s get sketchy when going real fast, it will go over on you if your too high.

That actually wasnt a typo, I always give Declark and Shoe sh*t for running massive nitrous, they always tell you its a 250 shot or something. Sorry but when I hear the motor pick up about 1500 RPM when the unit comes on we know its not 250 nitrous guys
