    Default Sanger Sprint jet......

    Well,
Picked this one up from Tom at JBP.
He was great to work with and now have this in my driveway....

Cleaning up nice and is in pretty nice shape for a 1977 model.
But the rear seats are a little small for my bigger kids, kinda not sure what to do about that though???
got a fuel leak at the tank which I got to take care of. Also maybe polish the tanks.. not sure.
Measured my motor mounts and they are to narrow, so I need to make/buy new mounts that are 25" wide... bummer.
but it does have the cool Sanger foot pedal!!!!
All in all nice looking hull and could put the blown 502 in it or the tunnel rammed 468....

will post more as I get along...
as I have alot of polishing to do to get the aluminium to shine..

Those "sprints" are really nice, but you're right, not a lot of room for passengers--oh well, who needs them anyway.

It was just an observation. They look good all polished up. I don't have anything against em. Have a buddy that runs a pair of them on a tunnelram and they work great for him.

I used to rebuild carbs and have holley's/others on boats, cars/stuff.
Once dialed in these are nice carbs. other cool factor is that not to many people run them.

    Thanks..

Boat is now in the garage after some moving of stuff, I thought I was going to have to "cut" the tounge and make it removable like my other one.
(good thing I am a metal fabricator)

Going to put the 468 tunnel ram motor in it, its just a 2 bolt-oval ported bbc.
Not looking for a racer, just 60-70 range. mild cam, more of a clean/fun reliable set up then anything else.

Wanting to save other stuff for big boat if it does not sell.

Does anyone know about this boat, it was in the Renoe area, I think.
Seems like it was taken care of, but who knows...

Back to my work on her...
Pulled seats and reboxed the mounts...
Picked up the water lines from Mouzer for the headers (thanks QJ)
should paint the motor this week while looking/building motor plates.
Will post more photos as it goes along.

One question, should I put a cd player/stereo in it???
I like to float down the river while tunes are playing, or should I just do a boom box???

    Anytime Johnny...

As far as the boom box goes, they are nice for their simplicity mobility however they suck when they get dropped in the water. I would do a clean install on a nice CD player.
