How hard would it be to take a 20ish foot day cruiser and turn it into an open bow?? Would it be structuraly fuct or would it be ok?

There has been talk about doing this before, i also saw a boat for sale that sombody did it too. The boat had stress cracks all around the area that had been cut out. Probably one of those things where whoever does it better know what they are doing..

Was on the Eliminator site the other day and they do it. I also think someone on RDP does the conversions too.

Here is my 20' eliminator Kevin @ KMG Boats cut my deck out & re-did the floor. Give him a call (619) 733-0593 or check him out @ Desert Storm with his new phantom 22'

Spoke with Kevin the other day, hell of a guy, he also likes to keep an open mind about doing different modifications to boats too!
Hope to get down there within a couple weeks, BTW Wiseone's boat is very cleanly done too!

I have also been kicking the idea of doing an open bow conversion on the sanger. I want to do a mid cuddy thing and not cut a walkway. If I could have a couple girls bouncing around up there, that would be great!

    I suck at MS Paint

I guess it depends on how tall the deck is otherwise you'll have to make them crawl threw. Allthough that might not be that bad to watch

Friend of mine, Stuart, bought this Tahiti little while back that had been converted to open bow. He's here on PB as "sturat"... It came from someone on the boards & I believe the conversion may have been done by someone on the boards as well.
