I had an 850DP on my alum.head 470 Olds that was too big for the engine at the altitude I run at @6000ft. I went to a 750 AFB.

    Hope that helps,
    Tim

I ran an 800 for a while, worked fine, but the plugs were black whenever I checked 'em.

I have a mild 455 with a offenhauser tunnel ram with a single crab top I am running the summit 750 double pumper with mechanical secondaries it works great. it looks like a worked over holly 4150 .
The price wasn't bad and it is polished so it looks nice .

I also run a Holley 850 DP - only downside is fuel consumption.

Bitch to sort out, but once sorted nice throttle response.
