Default New with a Hawaiian Jet Boat

Hey just found a great site. Looks like a lot of good people with a lot of good info. I picked up a 1976 Hawaiian with a BBF 460ci. I got the boat complete. The seats are dried out and need recovered. The motor got water down the carb this winter. The old owner didnt notice the cover blew off the boat in the rain. I got a new block and had it taken to .030 to match the pistons and rebuilt the motor. Just a few more adjustments and should be good to go. Now im looking for some where around the bay area to get the front seats redone. I dont care about the rear right now because I wont be back there. If anyone knows someone that can get the job done for a good price let me know. Thanks. I am getting the boat ready for the delta and Bullards Bar on the 4th of July. Thanks Guys and Girls......NeverLiftMotorsports

Why am I having flash backs ? Could this be HJ's old boat ? I can see 30+ pages of some of the funniest reading all over again. Welcome to the site and ask as many questions you have.

I dont think this boat is from Kentucky. I have had it in the water a couple times. It has a couple holes in the bottom. Not shooting in just getting the carpet wet as im in the water. Trying to get in the water again today. Its after midnight now. I need to do the oil change and try a different carb. It didnt like the double pumper.

Thanks guys. Today went good for me. Boat ran good. Couldnt get the fuel line on the 750 double pumper to stop leaking so i had to put the 500cfm 2 bbl back on. My buddy hurt his motor today. He kept spinning around and i think he had all of the oil in the top end and spun some bearings. Will find out soon.

FORGET THE SEATS, FIX THE HOLES IN THE HULL!!
Just a little advice from somone who has done things in the wrong order himself.

Welcome to the boards, you joined at the right time, winter can get a little dicey 'round here, but most us are friendly during the summer though
Boating is nothing like cocaine, boating is much more addictive and results in bigger parties!
