Default Questions about NJBA/Lucas in PHX

Do I have to join Lucas Oil Drag boat Association or does NJBA membership cover it.

What is deal with Gambler and Super Eliminator, One or the other or both?

Will there be a second chance deal?

Is there a test and tune?

Phoenix points will count for NJBA but only PHX NJBA points will count nationally for Lucas??

If I passed tech in BAKO in March, what do I need to watch out for @ Lucas. Driveline guard, Return springs on both carbs...?

Whose lights are they using Old IHBA or new NJBA?

Last but not least, Who's going??

I talked to Ken with Lucas Oil last week and he said you can register to race as long as you are a member of ANY drag boat association.

And guy, WTF!!!!!!! That is just not right.

Here is what I do know...

-Your NJBA membership will be accepted, after all its an NJBA hosted event.

-The NJBA Phoenix race is not like our races at Bakersfield meaning they wont have certain classes like UBFJ and SE, Just brackets and pro classes. The only points the 232 can get that will go towards the NJBA series is the bracket and you will get 100 points to show unless you win. If you win you get 200 total. If you went 6 rounds and lost in the final you only get the 100 points, atleast thats how it was explained to me by an NJBA board member.

-Test n Tune on Thurs. as usual Im assuming

-Lights will be either NJBA's new lights or Lucas's new lights, wont be IHBA's old lights.

-You'll probably need a driveline guard of some kind and probably dual return springs? Check rule book and see if the 10.0 guys need it, I know the quicker brackets do.

-Most of our group will not be going... I think 000 said he may go and I think 039 wants to go but thats all I know.

Hope that helps a little, Im sure others will post up some more help.
