My home came with an extra deep three car garage and had additional room for a detached. We took the extra deep attached one and put a complete bank of cabinets across the entire back for storage. This afforded us enough storage to actually park cars in the garages. It's only a nine foot ceiling so we can't hang bikes from the roof but we hang a ski rack from the roof for all our water and snow skis as well as snow boards, racks, etc. The detached, we built ourselves so we got what we wanted there. It's wide enough for double parking front to rear with cabinetry and workbenches to one side. We air conditioned it since we're in Arizona and it's nearly unbearable to work in without such. We made the ceiling height in the detached 10 ft. so we could hang our bicycles overhead and still have walking & parking clearance beneath.

If you put enough cabinetry and wall shelving in the garage, you'll be able to actually use them to park and have room to work on your projects which seems like a novel idea given the view of my neighbor's garages when I drive by and see all that crap in them with no room to park a car.

Oh yeah, great stereo is a must!

I just have a 20 X 25 main area to work out of and a 10 x 25 addition attached where I keep my tool's, the furnace, benches, etc... and have a seperate compressor room outside. I also build a fresh air ventilation system for spraying that works great. Here is a pic with the boat in there on one side. It will only hold two boats and all my shit but have built some awesome toys out of it!!
