    Default spoon or race bubble

how far forward of the intake should the spoon or bubble, whatever you wanna call it ,extend? myround keel intake sits below keel 1/4 so the body work to transition into it is about 18" from the front of the intaKE.if i put a 4' straight edge on itfrom the highest point(front .center of intake)theres a bit of a gap....should i make this spoon longer ?and take up this gap? again thanks in advance ....mikey

Why does it sit below the keel? A spoon is not something to be done on the winger type hulls.

i reset the intake just as it was .it has the same amount of body filler as before the reset...ran great.i did have it hook after the engine shut down unexpactedly.but not too bad ,i thought it was do to more weight on the side it hooked to.ill get a ratchet someday.can anything be done besides using a ratchet or popoff to prevent or lesson the chance of a hook until i get a ratchet.......oh why not use a spoon on a gullwing?....thanks mikey
