i just took the boat out fot the first long trip of the year yeaterday about 20 miles one way and beer and headers DONT get along what is the best muffler setup you all have found i was thinking about these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Colle...Q5fAccessories

what do you think? we used these in the stock car for years but we would cut one of the rings off turn it backwards and drill all the holes out bigger just to be legal so i dont really know how they work when actuall installed correctly to controll sound levals

Im pretty pleased with my zoomers.

They let just enough howl through to be fun and dont choke down my Ilmor 710 which is a "mushroom cloud laying mfer."

They are hard to keep clean though.

The best working muffler I have found is set of foam earplugs Keeps it quiet with no loss of performance.

DUH- didnt see it was a jet boat forum- I only saw the muffler question when I clicked new posts- feeling like a complete dbag....

Try these - I used them about 20 years ago (or something like them on my jet boat) http://www.bassettracing.com/mufflers1.htm

BTW Thanks for the compliment on the rig ! I put a lot of money and time into it.
