What is the best grate to run in a GTH intake? 18' CP LIGHT lay-up! 650-750 hp.

    Thanks Brandon

do you mean grate or LOADER? A grate keeps debris outta your pump, a loader-well forces water into the pump.I'm sure theres other questions about your setup to answer the question correctly. Maybe one of the CP guys will chime in!

if its a lowpro gth, you're better off having 1 built to get the right angle at the impellor face. a basic loader could be modded, but that shiat is dangerous, a loader is no place to experiment your welding skills

Dare to be different, if it turns out great you can claim you planned it that way.

they range all over the place, between the two 18's that im familiar with they have two totally different loaders, ones a heavier boat, ones lighter, it all depends on application, ET, MPH, etc..... id say call MPD for advice hes put 10 different ones through our boat and they all acted a little bit different.
