Default Boat Races at Purcell Okla.

Had a blast today watching the boats at purcell. There were a bunch of damn fast jets there. Several were breaking out of the 6-sec deal and having hell slowing'em down.
Here's some pics of some of the faster ones and a link to my album of the rest of the pics

They actually did allot better than i expected with an untested boat. Their first pass the engine was way to fat and the boat didnt run well then on the second pass they leaned it up 7 ran a 7.70 in the 8sec bracket, third pass they slowed 'er down to a 8.08.
Boat took a good set & ran nice & straight, shut down nice. I'll load a vid of the pass if I get an OK from Ron.

I recognize most of those from SITC, cool pix.

What class does the black and green Cheyenne run in?

060 get a new hull or just paint it?

The black & green cheyenne is Jason James, he was in the 6-sec bracket but on the third round of qualifying the boat made a bad move in the middle of the pass & he got it shut down. I went to his pits and took a look, it busted the suction housing completely in two around the wear ring and the bowl slid back about an inch or so, bent the cradle all to hell, if not for the cradle& ride plate the bowl would have come completely off.

060 just got some new paint, looks alot better.

Fun to watch, most of these faster guys were breaking out running in the high 5's at 138-140mph one this lil 1000ft course. It was real cool outside, I bet they're dialed in for today after those 3 rounds.

No, I wanted to but my mag gave me a little trouble last week and had to send it in for service, dont have it back yet. Even had my lifeline recertified.

The guy wants to know if his favorite racer "SAMBO SMITH" made a showing? I think that is his neck of the woods.
