    out of curiousity what brand oil and weights is everyone using............my neighbor runs straight 30 vavoline...........

    In my 30 year old 454 BBC with 250 total hours...
    20-50 Castrol or 20-50 Valvoline Racing depending on availlability.

    Valvoline 10w40 usually, but I have run 20w50 in it as well.....

    Anything with a CI-4/CJ-4 rating. Higher zinc content in the additive package.
    I've been running supertech 15-40 in everything I own for the last 4 years. Zero problems.

    Rotella's good too but a little more expensive.
