Default Snail to trumpet size and sealing help

Ok snail exhaust hose flange is 3.5"in dia.
And have to use 3.5 hose, the trumpet is 2"7/8 hose barb.
Took apart to reseal snail and log flange.
The previous owner had 5 hose clamps on each hose and was steped down and shimed with another smaller hose that fit the ID of the 3.5 hose and it looked like a bucket of dicks and couldn't have it lookin like that,so deletted all worm type clamps and flushed small hose with large hose and now have a clamp at each end.........at the lake this weekend put boat in let the lady take the boat off trailer, parked the trailer head to camp site long be hole lookin at my boat to admire my pride and joy from a far......and say to my self.......self.....man she don't ride that low in the ass....well you can just imagine the rest.....
How,what to use so that it's a clean sanitary install???any thought's would be good....

Yea got to hand it to her she is a good woman and new how to turn the blige on!
life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safly in a well preserved body...but rather to be skiding in sideways, flipping, and spinning totaly out of control shoutin hell F***in yea,
    what a ride!!!!!!!!

For some reason this made me smile. Maybe ah o mm OH Ya. I seen it happen to some one else. That is it. I would change to a bigger tip and be done with it. I have never seen a custom or a stock hose that had two sizes.

Evil has it, simplest fix here is to replace the existing 2 7/8 tips with a pair of 3 1/2's , youd also benefit from the increase outlet size , no longer choking down the prefered 3.5 rizer outlet Tom
