Talking new Winger being built for me

i just put my order in for a Scotts performer TX-18 gullwing

the boat will be started soon.

i cant wait already and it hasn't even been born yet.

Me and my wife are very excited about the Brand new build.

ive never owned a brand new boat nor rigged one.gonna be Bad Ass Fun and im sure a lot of work.

me and the wife last night over several cocktails was already planning our color schemes and interior lay out.

i already have the power plant in the makings.

just a pump gas aluminum headed 460 bbc with a Straub solid roller.

i have the pump and livorsi gauges already.

all interior will be By Scotts marine(Maggie) his wife does some wonderful work.

this will be a long project and probably be towards the end of the year before it sees water or maybe next spring.

i just wanted to SHOUT it out that i have a Brand Spanking New gullwing being built all for Me.

Been wanting to do this for some time and things have finally fallen into place.

im sure i will have lots of questions for you guys.

Special thanks to Scott Seastrum of Scotts Marine and Welding in Hot Springs Arkansas.

Congrats, we had a 19' built in 2007. Nice to know you will be able to pick colors, interior and what ever else, as long as Bill approves. That first scratch or nick will be all on you. Congrats again, you will love it.

    Thumbs up lake layup

    thanks guys

the boat will be plain white Gel.

then when i get it home its in the shop and let the fine line go to flying and time for some major colors.

been 3 years since painting on boats(i own a body shop and mainly do insurance work so don't get to play with inlays and shit to much) and im ready lots of fun and lots of staring at the same lines going is that shit crooked or am i that drunk, lol!!!

Scott will set the intake and then its up to me to do all the other stuff.

so basically a plain hull with intake set and a new double axle trailer.

im glad im a body man cause i tend to cut things to big or off center and that way i can spend days patching and re-doing to make it correct.

as soon as it starts to hit the mold i will be producing pics.

im so excited that im thinking of locking myself in the shop and turning the lights off and start drinking, lol!!!!

look at my receipt that shows my total and what Ive paid so far and go oh shit time to turn the lights back on and wipe some more mud

Tom he has a brand new one he just pulled out of the mold for a guy in Shreveport that looks awesome.(cheyenne)

don't like the color but the glass work is exceptional.

after talking a few hours on the phone last night and going to the shop today,we decided to lay it up on the heavy side as i like to walk on the deck and sides and not worry about stress cracks all the time.

so it will basically be a lake turd but my lake turd and did i mention BRAND F_CKIN NEWyeah for me.

yes you have 1 clean looking ride

no matter the year there is some really clean ones on here.

i have drove and been in several tx-19s but i have never been in any TX-18 gullwings.been around alot that scott has put out over the years and they are very nice looking and i like the stance better but im hoping the ride is as good if not better than the 19s?

he seems to think so and well hell it don't matter i guess b/c im buying 1,lol!!!

me and the wife are thinking white base with lots of different shades of blues.we both like blues and do some traditional schemes on the sides and top.
