    Default Be careful this season!

Just reading over in the open water section about that boat wreck that killed the 5yo little boy!
I have met some truly great people through this website and HB in the last 5-8 years, and dont like hearing about people getting killed while out with the family, this Elsinore deal really hits home for me and am truly saddened by the story of the 5yo boy! my heart goes out to the family that lost the most precious gift a man and woman can have together! godspeed lil guy!
Please have a safe and long summer to all my friends, lets make a conscience effort to make the water ways safer for all who use them this summer guys!
This is not my typical thread, but God damnit we need to use more of our heads when boating! I am just as much to blame when it comes to non safe boating as the next guy, thats why things will be just a lil bit different for me as the driver of my boat/family from here fwd!
    take it easy!

very sad deal indeed. we're heading out this weekend for the 1st trip of summer and all 3 of my kiddos will be in jackets and buckled tightttttt

Dare to be different, if it turns out great you can claim you planned it that way.

    Default Good Reminder

Every Trip Out I Say NEXT Time Me And The Lady Will Wear Our Life Jackets The whole Time Driving In The Boat. I Plan On It From Now On. Accidents Happen Too Fast And Too Many Things Can Go Wrong On The water. Even Cruising Safely It Could Be Someone Elses Crazy Driving Or Equipment Failure Etc.

    Great post, Todd.

It's not only making a personal effort to stay safe and make sound decisions......but if you see anybody else on the water being unsafe, wreckless or endangering others they need to be called on it immediatley.

Well im new to the boating world this year and i too have a little one and all i keep thinking is how i can keep her safe and enjoying the boat. It sucks that it takes a tragedy like this for us to think about safety even more. I cant even begin to imagine what that family is going thru, please guys lets let this be the only post like this we have to see this year. Keep safe guys and my prayers go out to the family..

Just a thought, i know we all live all over the states but maybe if we can get more info maybe we can do something to help the family. I know alot of guys that would be willing here in michigan that would love to help out. so maybe if anyone can get some info for us we could get something together for them....

Excellent post. Yes, a very sad deal about the little boy losing his life. I could never imagine what that family is dealing with right now. My thoughts and prayers are with them during their times of grief.

Life is all about ass, you're either covering it, hauling it, laughing it off, kicking it, kissing it, busting it, trying to get a piece of it, or behaving like one.
