    Default 2 starters on BBF?

    just bought a 1977 sanger, 12JG-A pump, motor locked up, just a project boat, ok well after trying to turn it over i noticed it as a rear mounted starter and another starter on it, underneath front mounted,?? anyone heard of this before??? if so why is it there??

    A buddy of mine has the same setup, He had problems before with a starter that broke some teeth and left him rowing a couple of clicks upstream.

    Don't know why it would have 2 starters but my Sanger has 2 locations on the bell housing as well. When my top mounted starter went bad I switched to the bottom location and used an Auto Zone starter and away I went. Congrats on the Sanger project by the way. They certainly look cool all restored with a stylish paint job.

    thanks for info, its gonna be a long time coming together were going to strip this one down completly, and i agree the sanger is one of the most awesome looking boat out there in my opionion, yours sure is a good looking one also,
