Default What type of Berkley Pump to run ?

Im just starting my rebuild on my 78 Hallet and I am not very knowledgable about the types of Jets that work best with certain setups.

Heres what Im planning on doing and any input at all would be greatly apreciated. I would like to drop in a 600 - 800 HP single carbed motor. I want to build something fast that I can stomp on but nothing to crazy that I am fixing it every trip. I wanted to start with the pump first. Can you recomend the best kind of Pump set up for what I want to do
    Thanks

The Spectrum of jets and related parts available to you for your Hallett are Berkeley (of course), Dominator, American Turbine and Aggressor, all share similar design and attributes and lots of parts redily exchange , at 600hp your a candidate for "better than stock" internal parts such as a hardened pump shaft and Stainless or Bronze impeller among other improvments, A Place diverter trim is a "must" IMO Tom

I have the same hull as well, my reacted very well to a full droop and a professionally built loader. Also a jet o vator is a must.

Here is what Im running now. Its a 2JC-A Berkley Pump. I have a Place Diverter for it also. I need to know what kind of Droop would work Best. Also I need a Split Bowl. What is the best way to go for this also. Here are some pics of the way it sits now with the jet.

    Thanks

After you build a motor, build a pump and set the boat up for 800 ponies including time... One could just buy a nice boat already set up with all the goodies. Start a price sheet and include all hardparts, hardware, labor and machine work for just a pump and one starts to get the picture. If you really love that hull, buy a boat with what you want and take all the goodies off of it and put it in your hull. Unless of course you are a glutton for punishment as many of us are and just want the thrill of building it yourself.

    Unfortunatley Im the glutton ....

Thats why I want to get the best pump for my Hull . I need to build the pump first though. The motor is the second part for me . I know next to nothing on pumps so thats why Im looking for the input. Lots of guys with alot of ZDifferent setups = lots of opinions worth listening to
