    Default good/bad idea

What if you used air pressure from something like a paxton supercharger and aplied it to nozzles just after the impeller in the pump to help push the water out at a faster rate?

The water pressure is alot more than any turbo or blower air pressure. if you could introduce air it would just aerate the water. Air is not as dense and would not add to the water thrust. Nothing wrong with thinking outside the box.

    Default doubt it

I think if you tried this you would have a supercharger full of water in short order. Your jet pump has way more pressure than any supercharger. Not to mention air compresses and water does not. It would be cool if it was that easy though.

Yep. Aerate the water. Would cost you if anything.

    Thumbs up

    M/S,
The first ship I was on had an HP air compressor dedicated to a baffleing system The ship had internal header systems with holes to the exterior of the ship. It was a sub chaser. System used to "mask" our audible signature.

    Now fast forward 36 years...
Your paxton vents through a header system through the hull to either side of centerline to reduce drag.
    Just sayin'

Reggie Fountain used delta air inlets in the deck of the boat to funnel air through the boat and out the bottom to aid lift to set the record for the fastest vbottom a few years ago.

I was once thinking of trying that kind of system using my exhaust ducted out under the boat.

    Those pressures are 200+ lbs.

And understanding exactly how a jet pump works. That pressure is needed to exert a fwd force in the pump from the choke fwd.

    Search Jetpump Tech Handbook.

ok, so if all of you are right, and the pump has a lot more pressure...can we just route the pump into the engine?
