    Default Place diverter puzzle

Just picked up an orphaned 12JE pump with a place diverter on it. The pump is in pieces, so that is not the issue right now.
My boat has a fresh 12JC on it, and works fine.
The seller did not have the controller for the PD, but tossed in 3 cables and a ride plate with the deal, since they were of no use to him anyway.. I don't even know what they are for, or if I can use them at all...only 1 year with a boat, I am.

The diverter looks to be in great shape. It is tight, and the seller told me it has few hours on it, since he wrecked the boat shortly after installation.
    I believe him.
Never having had a diverter, I am not sure what all I will need to buy to make this thing complete, besides the obvious fact that I have no controller. A manual one will suit me just fine. I'm just not sure what is missing here, or what I am going to need to get.

Take a look and tell me what ya' think.
    Thanks guys.

That diverter is set up to use the controls that are unique to a JE pump. To work with your JC, you need to change the tiller arm. You can get by with the JE style reverse, as that is also used on the "Low Profile" version of the JC/JG diverter. Any parts you need will be available directly from Place Diverter. BTW, you can find a pic of the low profile diverter on the "products" page.

I was afraid of that. What I don't want, is to have to replace parts and modify the thing to the point where I will spend as much as if I just bought a new one. I've checked out the PD site, and those prices are insane IMO. If I can't make this work for a couple hundred bucks, I'll just sell it.

If anybody wants to trade for the one I need, send me a PM.
I have $300 into it. I'll sell it for that. I'll add cash if you have the complete setup.

Or you could put it up for trade (chances are greater than zero that someone with a 12JE bought a 12JC diverter).

Posted it in the spam section, and already got a trade offer.
    That was pretty quick.
