Out at Elsinore for the TPMO I ran switched to a droop w/ no wedge. The boat ran great with the diverter all the way up. Obviously, there's a pretty good nozzle restriction with the droop all the way up, so I through 8° of wedge in there and while it looks like it'll give me the same nozzle ange with no restriction from the diverter...it looks goofy. I know Duane uses 13° or so on his grandkid's boat, but does anyone else run this kind of wedge? Am I trying to reinvent the wheel here?
I always wondered why when I ordered studs from Duane the damn things were 3 inches long....I'm glad I didn't cut 'em down now...LOL.
