I understand how to level out the intake vs the boat....but what about the putty....is there a trick on how to apply how much and where?

or do you just keep moving it around until the intake sets at the angle you want?

im sure i'll figure it out once i get balls deep in it, but figured i'd ask if theres any tips/tricks before i do.
