    Default Sanger Superjet -Ride Plate?

    Howdy,

Quick question for you Sanger gurus...

Did all Sanger Superjets have factory rideplates?

One that I am looking does not seem to have one. I understand that Sangers have a porpoising issue to begin with so if a Superjet is missing a ride plate then I imagine that the ride will be horrible. Any thoughts on this? Thanks!

Not a real good pic, but you can see that you have the same mounting holes there next to the pump.

I have the template for the rideplates for the Sanger Super Jet, Custom Sprint and Mini Daycruiser with either the Sanger specific bolt up intake (up to '76)and the Sanger specific bolt down intakes ('77 and later). On my '76 Custom Sprint I used a 1/4" custom made shoe ans spaced down a separate rideplate to work with the boat. I am sure I have pics somewhere on here. I will have my wife find them tonight and post them.

Just let me know and I can help you out.

    Thanks
    Jim

Thank you for the replys guys. I appreciate your offer Squirtin Thunder. I will let you know.

In the mean time, what can I expect when driving it without the factory rideplate? Are the parts still readily available or would I need to fab my own?

    Thanks!

I found the stock Sanger ride plate to be way too short and doesnt really help with much. I put a longer ride plate on my 75 super and it gives more noticeable changes when only slightly adjusted, and yes they porpoise like crazy, the longer ride plate and a place diverter cured mine cuz i can shove the nose down when I need to at cruising (porpoising) speeds.
