Default Your Thoughts on this boat

I am curious to hear some thoughts of others on this boat. I have copy pasted the craigslist ad. The boat looks damn clean for being 15 years old. I have previously owned an 83 miller that was in much rougher condition than this thing appears. Anyways, all thoughts are welcomed......

Looks good to me. If the road test is good I would try to get it for 7500-8000.

    WOW...Nice...!

    OK...just my .02

100 hours on a 15 year old boat...? Or is that on a fresh motor...?

I'm just saying when I bought my 79 Rochell Craft OB the fella told me it only had (original) 200 hrs....lmfao....c'mon 200 hrs...31 years old....WTF..? The hour meter wasn't hooked up...but none the less it was clean and well worth what I paid for it (6k)

So they are asking 10k...well me being a cheapskate I always offer less than they ask for unless they stated FIRM...I wouldn't insult them but I'd say somewhere around 8500 to 9000. Way too much stereo...prolly why's he's asking 10G's....maybe 1500 to 2k in sound...who cares
He may have drop dead 9500 price tag...I'd do it...ONLY after I drove it and it all checked out good...don't be scared to put it to the test either...if they balk...WALK...!

Just a little update for the thread. We ended up buying the boat!!! I have had it out on the water three times since I picked it up. Absolutely ZERO issues with it so far...(knocking on wood as I type). The wife had to have the open bow and I wanted the sleek, jet, clean, loud, you know what I mean, so I was pretty stoked to say the least when we found this bad boy. It is not breaking any speed records but to be honest, reliability was what I was shooting for. I have already watched the hour meter go from 114 to 121 and I am loving every minute of it!!!

    Its possible, very possible
my boat is 16yrs old with real low hrs and it shows, some people just dont drive them, just let them sit in a AC garage under a cover it's whole life

    That surprised me some.

It should run pretty good. The 19's actually have a pretty good bottom on them. The Saber was tested by Hotboat magazine back in the 90s and they liked it alot (typically Hotboat wasn't too keen on anything Kachina made). The one they tested had a 500 hp BBF in it and it ran 78 mph and got there quick.

I knew a guy that had a twin turbo'd BBF in his and it ran just shy of 100 mph (98-99) and surprised lots of people..

I don't think so. It was actually a enclosed engine deal. The motor was ugly as sin and it was a good thing to enclose it. All painted red. Everything. Valve covers, block, intake, turbos, completely red. Definitely not an impressive looking mill (save for the twin turbos). Ran like a scalded dog and was a total sleeper though. You couldn't tell it had any potential to be fast until you heard the turbos spooling up. Belonged to a guy named Wally here in Phoenix. Nice guy. He sold the boat complete and moved on to a twin turbo'd outdrive deal.

any of the passengers can punch this thing on there way to the bow rider section either by mistake or if they think your not going fast enough

Yeah I really like the room but the one thing it is short on would be storage. As far as speed, I had full tanks (40 gal) two ice chests and 3 people so i didnt really want to get after it too hard. I only ran a short spurt and hit 50 fairly easy. I will be back on the water next weekend and im gonna run it with out all the extra weight and see what i can do.
