Default looking at jet vs vdrive

I have been posting in the v drive section about a boat, but someone offered me a jet boat, so I have to ask you guys some questions about that.

can I get some plugs to cap up the transom, and run headers on it, or are those pipes ok?
    Do they break often?
He claims it did 75mph with the 460/ 450+hp

I think I want a v drive, but the jet boat looks nicer.
    thanks
OK let me try this again.

    Default Help

Okay, last time around here. I was told in the v drive section some things that concerned me with this boat.

Can a jet boat guy tell me more about it?

does a bigger intake/ headers, and carb seem more fitting for a 460?

He claims it will do 75. Do you believe it?

    Any input is appreciated.

    Thanks
Also what can you tell me about this stuff. Is this a weak pump?

that boat does not go 75.
the seats are out of a stolen car
the pump has a C bowl on it
the diamond plate belongs on a jeep
the vinyl graphics and stickers were added to make the boat appear as if it is some sort of race boat.
the air cleaner is from pep boys and is swap meet material

Sorry bud. shall I continue? u asked for an opinion. buy a v drive.

I just sold a set of those harmon through bolt exhaust logs for 500 bucks and getting ready to sell another set. Looks like you already have the right valve covers for headers. Pumps not bad, get a diverter for some plane and fun. Flame arrester and carb scoop could a nice touch. I would change the seats....look in the parts spam for stuff. Overall decent boat if the price is good. PS... full stringer?

just goes to show your stupidity, a monkey can drive a jet boat. just stab and steer, not a hole lot of skill needed. as far as squirting people with the jet.... lets just say you dont neede to be owning a boat

Don't get too excited, the original post(prior to editing) stated "75 MPG" not "75 MPH".
