Default Gettin ready to pick a Impeller...

So I am finally at the point where its time to pick my impeller, I have one of the berkely extreme loaders but have no idea what impeller to use, I have the bowl stuffer and the pump is being rebuilt all at the same time. My engine is a 468 BBC making 604hp/595tq and 790hp/780tq on the bottle, the rig is a 18 foot roger.

I would like the boat to be able to hit 90+ and I think I have the power to pull the big impellers now.

sorry if I sound like a newb... the fact is I am and this is my first jet boat, I just have been building NHRA door bangers for over 8 years and decided one of my motors would be bitchin in a boat.

x2 if its peaking above 6300 id run a b-cut

Dare to be different, if it turns out great you can claim you planned it that way.

Do you want to set it up for the bottle or just the motor? I set mine up for the motor at peak and let the bottle just spin it more.

I would start with an A/B and tune it accordingly.

At what rpm were your peak trq numbers ?

If you are going to rev it at or near peak hp rpm off the nos, how big of a nitrous system do you plan on running and do you have the valvetrain hardware to handle it. If you are going to be running off the bottle at 6,000 and then hit it with 200 hp you're going to be in a serious over-rev situation. Can your cam and valve train handle that ?

I'd start with an "A" and see what it does from there. on and off the bottle
You can have an impeller trimmed allot cheaper than adding to one.

How big of a shot are you talking about ?
