    Default Porposing and Diverter Setting

    Hey GUys,

What does this translate to on my 21' Open Bow Crusader Cruiser? Here goes: When running around 3500 RPM, my boat really favors all the way down position on the diverter. Maybe up one or two clicks from the bottom MAX. Anything else, and she starts to porpoise. I have noticed that the problem is really noticable when there are 4+ more people in the back, and someone has to set up front to get the weight even. What can fix this? Never had this problem before on other boats unless you were all the way UP on diverter, then you would get it. I have a 12JC pump, so I think I am limited on droops and wedges. Do I need to adjust my diverter cable for more down play? Thanks guys!

    Chris

I too have a crusader that my uncle built new. He said before he put ride plates (trim tabs) on it that it would porpoise like crazy.

Does the boat have a shoed intake with a ride plate on it?

also is there a droop on it? if it does, pull it off and try a day on the lake without the droop

Dare to be different, if it turns out great you can claim you planned it that way.

Hey Duane, No Ride Plate at all. Just stock underneath.

Did he put the adjustable tabs like Bennets on it Buddhist or just the solid mounted ones?
