The best bet would be to stay at one of the resorts like AHA or something but that is tough if you dont know someone. Rentals are very hard to come by.

Either stay in Parker or Blythe. Blythe doesnt have much of anything to do at all, mostly mom and pop restuarants other than Sizzler and fast food chains. Id stay in Parker although its a longer drive, probably 45 min from AHA. Blue water casino would be my first choice in Parker.

Probably more reasonable to stay in Blythe, lots of motels, and it is 20 miles to Aha Quinn. From Parker it is probably 45 minutes to Aha Quinn. Either way don't drink and drive, law enforcement in Parker sucks. Blythe is a training area for CHP not good either way.

Just saw Shoemaker in Blythe about an hour ago with a new boat to test. Hope to come down and spend some time on the sand bar that weekend.

If you stay in blythe the days inn is cheap with ok boat parking you can see from your room with the Sunset grill in the same parking lot thats got ok food and there is a bar in walking distance if you like dives..Make sure you tell them to turn the AC on before you get there if you stay there..Last time it was 110 if the dam room when we got there..Almost had to kill the guy working there..Its also the on the east side if town so your out of there fast..
