    Talking 13:1 496 bbc

I wasn't sure if this is where i should post, but i am anyway...........
I took my motor to Paul Pfaff's shop yesterday for dyno pulls!!!!!!!
It set up to run on the river, so it's not on the ragged edge, which i'm happy with.
    @ 6300 rpm's--816 hp's
    @ 6200 rpm's--704 tq
    @ 40* total advance on 110 F&L fuel
Not bad for what i was looking for in the motor. It's probably more than this one armed guy can handle in a 18' gullwing anyway.
Thanks to Mark Rapp at Rapp Racing. I'm trying to have it ready for the Regatta!!!!!!!

    Bubba

The Dan Olson BBC 11qt. pan for jetboats doesn't fit very well. I used that pan on my new engine and had to oval out several of the bolt holes to get it to line up with the studs in the block. Also the holes at the back of the pan were so close to the sheet metal that you can't get a wrench, or socket, on the nut. Only way to make it work was to use an allen bolt. I thought this was an issolated problem as I have used Olson pans before without problems, until a buddy of mine had the same issues, and now Bubba did as well. Olson's fixture is clearly off and needs to be fixed.
