    Default Wet Again

I finally got my new power plant in the boat and to the lake for the first time this season. I just want to thank Scott Foxwell (heads), Chris Straub (cam, lifters) Duane Oblander at Hi-Tech (headers) and NYEs Automotive (shortblock and dyno). All these people went above and beyond what is expected.
    The new engine is:
Dart Big M block 4.5" bore
    Eagle 4.25 forged crank
Eagle H beam rods w/L19 bolts
    JE forged pistons
    Chris Straub solid roller
    Morrell lifters
    Milodon Oil Pan
RHS 320 heads corrected and assembled by Scott Foxwell (write up is on this site)
    Hurricane Single Plane Intake
    950 cfm Quick Fuel carb.
    Stainless HPX headers from Hi-Tech
Just as a note, the cam was substantially bigger than what most say can be run with wet exhaust but after a week at the lake, there were no reversion issues. Chris definitely knows his game.
I know it only made 715hp at 6200 but it pulls my A impeller to 6000 rpm. One thing that suprised me is that it uses no more fuel when cruising than the stock 454 that came out of the boat.

I live in the very Northeast corner. We boat at Norfork in north central Arkansas. Sure like that winger you got. I shoulda started with a different hull but it is what it is. Just use it to pull the tube and shuttle the kids around.

Thanks. The hull isn't as nice as I would like, but it'll do for now. A pump rebuild is next. I'm scared of the aluminum impeller but I wanted to see what kind of rpm the engine would turn an A to before I made a decision what cut to go with.
