I have a runabout with a cobra outdrive (family truckster type boat), it works fine and the drive never gives me any issues, but I wouldn't buy another one simply because they are all older now and OMC has been gone for some time. The parts can be found, you don't just go to any boating store or marina and pick them up though, usually have to order them on the net, the pieces for the King Cobra versions can be hard to get even online, the stuff is pretty rare.
