I have always heard that zoomies wont scavenge properly for non blower apps. and headers work much better.

Interesting.. I was always told that headers kill the top end due to back pressure and zoomies kill the bottom end because of no scavenging.. I do believe headers will run better on most N/A application but the zoomies I have are built for N/A motors so pick the right part for the right application.. I don't have an accurate comparison due to all the changes we did but I know it couldn't have hurt much.. Change headers to zoomies along with a prop change, went from running 133 to 139 and 7.92 to 7.62..

What if they're the longer (than blower ones), 2.25" diameter swept back zoomies? On a boat like Vince's with 100+ mph air blowing over them I'll bet they scavenge some at least from half track on when he's in the upper 120's and above.

    Just GPS at the lake.

But there are too many variables. The headers we tried were probably not the best for our engine.
