    Default Hull Construstion

Looking at buying a 94 Cheetah 22foot jet Dose anyone have any insight on there hull construction are they hand laid or Chopper gun boats. I had a early 80s Tahiti once and it fell apart, I belive it was built using the so called chopper gun. Thanks in advance.

i dont know your answer but if you use the chopper right it with be bulet proof. built some speakerboxes bothways and the chop was just as strong IMO. just have them lay it out with carbon kevlar or carbon graphite. the it will be really strong

As far as I know the chopper gun way of boat building has gone the way of the do do. in the 80s The high cost of material outweighed the labor savings vs a hand layed boat. You could call Bob at cheetah boats in havasu and ask about the particular boat too just to make sure.

    Default Yeah, hand laid

They were laid up out of the glass shop next to the Campbell building Bob occupies now, You can get a hold of Bob for questions RE the lay up at (928) 764-2700
