    Default craigslist add

Refreshing realistic add. Not a bad price in a nice classic fixer too!

At least the guy sounds honest, for a change. Not like some who post on CL or eBay.

    Default Wear ring?

If it needs a wear ring, it probably needs an impeller, and if the impeller is wasted, chances are the housing is also toast.... Not trying to rain on his parade, but a pro built BBC costs twice what he is asking for the whole deal??? Something smells fishy to me, so, Buyer beware..........Ray

PS I'll bet there is a reason why he can't start it........The pump, right???......The thrust bearing is bad, which lead to the pump damage and also tried to push the pump shaft through the engine which likely wasted the thrust bearing in the engine, which put crap throughout the rest of the bearings..... Make offers for the boat and trailer, cause that's what you'll wind up with......

Default Got some info on this one

I contacted this guy this last week. It is basically a full resto. Need new Paint/gel, had to have some hull repair work done a while back, no back seats and needs full interior done, pump needs wear ring which means complete rebuild. No ride plate, not a split bowl pump. The trailer only has two good tires and needs work also. Hasn't been in the water since 2005, motor is 12 years old. Its was always garaged up until a year ago. Although the price is good if this is the kind of project you are looking for as a keeper and not a flip. And all of the guys paperwork, according to him, is clean and current.

Hope this helps anyone thats interested!
