Hey Guys... I'm trying to find some history on this boat. First let me tell you what I know about her. Eliminator 19' Daytona, constructed in 1982 according to serial number and titled as a 1984. I purchased the boat a few weeks ago from a guy in Iowa who had had it 4 or 5 years and never had it in the water. He was setting her up for a lake boat complete with dual steer cable polished hydraulic Place Diverter. (That piece has never been hooked up and is for sale).
That fellow purchased it from Jay Erschen who has a shop in the Phoenix, AZ area. Jay said he took the boat in on trade for a custom dually he had for sale. Jay said he thought the boat had run Pro Gas on the West Coast. Somewhere along the way it had something to do with East Valley Performance Marine according to a decal on the tank mount. This may have been a sister company to Erschen at some point.
Shoe has looked at pictures of the inside of the hull and verifies her to be a race layup. I have stipped the boat down to bare and the hull weight on digital race car scales is 450 lbs. The hull has a nice drop keel bottom and really nice trailer.
Currently the hull is base color is black, but from what I find behind the gages and transom cover, I believe the original gell to have been orange and possibly some yellow.
Shoe is setting me up with a new low profile intake as the boat had a standard 4 degree Berk in her. This may not have been the original intake as the Berk intake has a casting date of 01/29/1990 on this '82-'84 boat.
The hull is very nice and the bottom looks as if it has never been on a beach. I am going to re-rig her and set her back up for a race boat.
Any information on her history will be much appreciated.
